Bloody Human Freeway for Atari 2600, Atari 2600+ and Atari 7800+

Bloody Human Freeway is an unreleased Atari 2600 prototype by Activision that was later toned down and published as the family-friendly classic Freeway in 1981.

The Concept and GameplayDesigned by David Crane, the game was inspired by a real-life pedestrian trying to cross a busy Chicago highway.

Players control a human character running vertically across a multi-lane highway instead of the iconic yellow chicken.

Movement is restricted strictly to up-and-down; horizontal dodging is not allowed.
